When people see Kroos in Fifa, they always underestimate him. They saw he can't perform like a 90 rated star, but in reality he does. As we know this Fifa pace isn't as important anymore. This make Kroos able to shine. I play him as either a CM or CDM. His standing tackles are very solid and can hold his ground and intercept well. His jumping a heading isn't the best but. His ball control and passing is fantastic. His over the top balls are great and usually spot on and are your fault is you don't put enough power. Also add in the fact that you got a 5 star weak foot and your set. Don't expect a Kante from his card but expect to be controlling the game with him because of his passing and set piece magic. He does very well in weekend league and Rivals.
Passing: Great for over the top and through passes to wingers. Can do well with Tiki-Taka.
Shooting: His long shots are deadly if given the space. His regular finishing is average. But I hardly get him in the box to finish. Mainly outside the box.
Reactions-I see Kroos winning balls that are 50/50 on the ground and is surprisingly quick to them.
Defending-His interceptions and standing tackles are as solid as any midfielder can do in this game.
Set Pieces- His free kicks are deadly 22-26 yards outside the box. He can get the dip and his corners are great as well.
Stamina- If its a fast paced game his stamina will drain. He can keep up for the most part. But I might make the switch around the 80th min for a replacement. I always place constant pressure and fast build up, most of my players get drained.
Pace-He isn't slow but can get outpaced by speedsters.
Being One of the highest rated CMs in the game, toni kroos needs a lot of great games to prove he is what his rating says, at least that's what i thought after packing him in an untradable pack: "he is gonna be a good super-sub" i said, eventually i ended up using him in a hybrid and after 31 games (28 FUT Champions games) with 18 goals and 10 assists i realized he was SO good and is truly one of the best in his position, he is strong, agile, great defensively, great shooting, and the best passing in the game, 5* weak foot, despite his slow pace and his low stamina, he is a complete midfielder, in the end is he really what his rating says? My answer is HELL YES
Shooting: can score from almost anywhere, with both feet
Passing: might be the highest for a rare gold player
Dribbling: unlike his slow pace, he is a good dribbler with really hight ball control
Defending: can make crucial Interceptions, and is great with anchor
Physical: using anchor, he can feel really strong with the ball and can sometimes bully players off the ball
5* weak foot
Pace: sadly even using anchor he is still really slow compared to almost any other midfielder
Stamina: can survive 90 minutes when starting with full stamina, but anything past that i recommend subing him off
I pulled Kroos as an untradeable the second day of early access. I was so excited I got him because in past FIFAs he was really good. I first played him as a CAM in 433(4) the first few days of FIFA 19 releasing and he wasn't too terrible but that was with me grinding squad battles. In 45 games, I scored 20 goals and assisted 20 . Doesn't seem bad, but almost all those goals and assists came from Squad Battles and I don't rate players based on how they play in Squad Battles. In SBs I would probably give him a solid 7/10 as the games are much slower paced than they are on Division Rivals. In Division Rivals, he just gets lost in the midfield. When he is on the ball his dribbling lets him down and he often makes heavy touches. His passing is also sub-par and he struggles to make even the simplest passes you would think someone with 89 passing would make. Once a SBC comes out requiring a high overall squad I will be putting him in it without hesistation.
Defending: Found it to be the best thing about him
Shooting: Not the greatest even with 5* WF but not a con
Okay... I buy Toni Kroos to put them with perfect link with Gareth Bale... I thought that Toni was a good idea because this year the pace doesn't affect a lot like the past year. But this player is very very very slow. The pass of the player is not anything from another world. The only thing that is very good from him is the shoot. Not worth it.
Toni Kroos, spectacular in real life, horrible in FIFA 19. If you are looking for a 50K player who cannot string a pass together, cannot shoot, cannot defend and gets shoved off the ball by Peter Crouch, here is your man.
Very tough part to write, his rating is high for his price. That's about it.
